Artist Statement

I have been involved as an observer, student, teacher and participant in the visual arts throughout my life.   I have spent the last several years working toward a credible body of visual artwork using acrylics as my medium.   I look for what is important in an image, hoping to capture a special moment in time by presenting the subject matter faithfully, yet retaining the look and feel of a painting. 

I exhibit my work in many venues on the Saanich Peninsula, Vancouver Island and Vancouver, BC.

I live and paint in the North Saanich-Sidney area.
